Crash via malformed DXF file parsing
Published Apr 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2021.6 allows attackers to crash applications via malformed DXF files. The file-reading procedure writes beyond its intended buffer when processing a crafted drawing file, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a victim process to open or render the malformed DXF; impact is a crash or other denial of service, with possible code execution.
