Stored XSS via javascript URI link
Published Apr 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in react-draft-wysiwyg before 1.14.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through shared drafts. The link decorator in decorators/Link/index.js accepts a javascript: URI as a link target without blocking the executable scheme, so a crafted draft can carry script to other users who open it. Exploitation requires a user with access to create or share draft content and a recipient to render that content; the documented impact is script execution in the recipient's browser.
