Buffer overflow in RIOT-OS 2021.01 before commit 44741ff99f7a71df45420635b238b9c22093647a allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via crafted DNS replies. The _parse_dns_reply function checks response bounds without including the two-byte record-type field, allowing reads past the supplied buffer. Network attackers need only deliver a malformed DNS response to trigger disclosure; the record does not report integrity or availability impact.
