Arbitrary SQL execution via crafted login username
Published Dec 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
SQL injection in Sourcecodester Online Grading System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the uname parameter. The unauthenticated POST handler at /onlinegradingsystem/admin/login.php evaluates a crafted uname value as part of a database query, including injected time-delay expressions. Successful exploitation reaches the application's database with the query's privileges, enabling database reads, writes, or deletion without a valid account.
