Radio-range crash via oversized LMP packet
Published Sep 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in Silicon Labs iWRAP 6.3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash WT32i via Bluetooth radio. The Bluetooth Classic Link Manager mishandles an LMP packet larger than 17 bytes, so a crafted oversized packet causes firmware failure. Attackers must be within radio range and repeatedly transmit the malformed packet; recovery requires a manual device reboot, with no confidentiality or integrity impact reported.
