HTTPS traffic interception via disabled certificate validation

Improper certificate validation in xmlhttprequest-ssl before 1.6.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or modify HTTPS traffic. The XMLHttpRequest constructor copies an undefined opts.rejectUnauthorized value into https.request options, where Node.js treats it as false. An attacker must intercept or redirect an outbound TLS connection; the default behavior accepts the untrusted certificate without user interaction.
