CVE-2021-31579Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Restricted-shell access via hard-coded SSH credential

Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in Akkadian Labs Provisioning Manager Engine 4.50.18 allow remote attackers to access its restricted SSH shell. Developer setup scripts create the enabled akkadianuser account with a fixed password that remains valid on production appliances. Network access to TCP port 22 is sufficient for shell authentication; root access additionally requires chaining a separate shell-escape flaw.
