Unauthenticated privilege escalation via command injection
Published Feb 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Command injection in MediaTek EN7528 and EN7580 Linux SDK builds before TLM7.3.275.0-82 allows remote attackers to gain privileges. Config Manager fails to validate input before incorporating it into a command, but MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function, parameter, or command path. Exploitation requires network proximity but no authentication, prior execution privileges, or user interaction, and successful commands run with elevated privileges.
