Arbitrary file read via unconstrained download path
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in WPChill Download Monitor 4.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The downloadable_file_urls[0] parameter accepts attacker-controlled paths without enforcing the web-server home-directory boundary. Administrator access is required; exposure is limited to files readable by the WordPress/PHP process, including wp-config.php and files outside the web root.
