Remote code execution via DXF out-of-bounds write
Published Jun 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in OpenText Brava! Desktop 16.6.3.84 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious DXF file. The DXF parser fails to validate attacker-controlled data before writing past an allocated buffer, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the crafted file, after which code runs in the current process context.
