Encryption-key disclosure via unencrypted J-Web HTTP
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Protection mechanism failure in J-Web on Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to retrieve encryption keys over HTTP. The J-Web HTTP service transmits sensitive management traffic without transport encryption, enabling an on-path attacker to intercept the keys. The device must have system services web-management http enabled, and a user must interact with J-Web while the attacker occupies the traffic path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
