CVE-2021-31381Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via crafted AppSvr query

Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Configuration weakness in Juniper Networks SRC Series AppSvr before 4.12.0R5 and 4.13.0 through 4.13.0R2 allows remote attackers to delete files. The JBoss AppSvr web component processes a specially crafted query as an instruction to delete server files; Juniper has not disclosed the responsible parameter or configuration error. The interface is reachable without authentication over the network, and successful requests can damage system integrity and interrupt service.
