Command-authorization bypass via SFTP command injection
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in affected Junos OS Evolved releases allows local users with authenticated CLI access to execute shell commands through SFTP. Juniper identifies SFTP command processing as the locus but has not published the parsing error or unsafe shell invocation that accepts crafted input. Exploitation bypasses configured command authorization within the user's assigned privilege level, but it does not increase that privilege level.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
