Authenticated shell command execution via wrapper scripts
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved before 20.4R3-S1-EVO, 21.1-EVO, and 21.2-EVO allows local users to run shell commands. The affected EVO UI wrapper scripts fail to neutralize command syntax in crafted CLI input before passing it to shell command processing. Authenticated CLI access is required; exploitation bypasses assigned command restrictions but does not raise the user's configured privilege level.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
