Stored script execution via unencoded medicine names
Published Apr 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Remote Clinic 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in other users' browsers. The /medicines workflow stores the Medicine Name field, and medicines/index.php echoes the database value into HTML without output encoding. A doctor account is required to submit the payload, and code executes when a user permitted to view the medicine directory opens it.
