Host takeover via unrestricted PHP file upload
Published Jan 20, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in ejinshan Terminal Security System 8.0 and later allows remote attackers to write arbitrary server files via HTTP. The unauthenticated /inter/uploadFile.php endpoint accepts a caller-controlled savepath and PHP file without validating authorization, path, or file type. The uploaded file is not directly web-accessible, but chaining /inter/ajax.php file inclusion executes it as a web shell and grants control of the host.
