Credential disclosure via reversible password-field masking
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Credential exposure in Opmantek Open-AudIT 3.5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read stored device credentials. The web interface places SSH secrets, Windows passwords, and SNMP strings in HTML password inputs, so changing the input type in browser developer tools reveals the values. The affected page must render stored credentials in the browser; the consequence is credential disclosure, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
