CVE-2021-31252Public exploitNetwork attack vector

User redirection via unvalidated CGI redirect parameter

Published Jun 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Open redirect in CHIYU BF and SEMAC device CGI interfaces allows remote attackers to send users to arbitrary sites through a crafted link. The CGI handlers accept an arbitrary absolute URL in the redirect parameter and use it as the response destination without validating its target. Exploitation requires a user to click the link, enabling phishing or delivery of malicious content under the appearance of a trusted device URL.
