CVE-2021-31225

Script deletion via server access check bypass

Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authorization bypass in Stormshield SES Evolution 2.0.0 through 2.0.2 allows attackers to delete unused scripts via a malicious program. The administration console accepts a program-triggered deletion request without enforcing the server access check for scripts that no security policy currently uses. Exploitation requires tricking a user on a console-equipped computer into running the program, and the documented consequence is deletion of an otherwise-unused script.
