CVE-2021-3122Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated SYSTEM command execution via XML runCommand

Published Feb 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in NCR Command Center Agent 16.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as SYSTEM via port 8089. CMCAgent accepts an XML runCommand parameter on its port 8089 listener and executes the supplied command in a process running as SYSTEM. Exploitation requires the vendor-described misconfiguration and grants control of the affected Aloha POS or back-office server.
