Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted image proxy URL
Published Jul 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SSRF in the image proxy route in Siren Investigate before 11.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to fetch arbitrary URLs. The default-enabled route accepts an arbitrary URL parameter and retrieves that destination as the Investigate host process without restricting the target. Access to the Investigate installation is required, and requests originate from the host, exposing resources reachable by that process.
