Path traversal in Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, 2016, and 2019 allows attackers to execute code through crafted CAB files. CabUtility's ExtractCab processing uses filenames from a CAB archive in file operations without first validating their paths. Exploitation requires network adjacency and user interaction, and a successful chain executes code as SYSTEM.
