Browser script execution via unsanitized OWA parameters

Reflected XSS in Exchange Server 2013, 2016, and 2019 allows remote attackers to run script in a user’s browser through a malicious OWA URL. The CAS Frontend frowny.aspx page inserts the te and refurl parameters into JSON without sanitizing them, so a backslash escapes the JSON string and injects JavaScript. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted link; script runs in the Exchange origin and can expose session-bound data.
