Remote code execution via undisclosed Excel processing flaw
Published May 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Remote code execution in Microsoft Office allows context-dependent attackers to execute code after required local user interaction. Microsoft identifies Excel as the affected component but has not published the parser, file structure, or unsafe operation responsible for the flaw. Successful code executes with the privileges of the interacting user and can read, modify, or interrupt resources available to that account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
