Unauthenticated database manipulation via id_products[] parameter
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in the CommentGrade controller in PrestaShop 1.7.7.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries via id_products[]. The controller passes the id_products[] value into a SQL expression without neutralizing attacker-supplied syntax, enabling boolean tests and SLEEP-based timing. No authentication or user interaction is required; the resulting timing oracle exposes database contents and deliberately delayed queries can interrupt store service.
