Administrator-driven browser redirection via custom menu links
Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect and reverse tabnabbing in SolarWinds Orion Platform before 2020.2.5 allow remote authenticated users to redirect browser tabs. SolarWinds identifies the custom menu item options page as the locus but has not published which URL-validation or link-isolation control is missing. An Orion administrator account and user interaction are required; exploitation can replace the opener page or redirect a browser to an attacker-chosen site.
