An access-control issue in Apple macOS Monterey before 12.1 allows local users to passively track a device via exposed BSSIDs. The Airport component applied insufficient access restrictions around BSSID information, permitting a local low-privilege application to obtain identifiers useful for tracking network presence. The impact is indirect confidentiality loss through passive observation; no device modification or service interruption is described.
