CVE-2021-30965

Endpoint Security client interruption via TCC state error

Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Logic error in affected Apple macOS releases allows local users to interrupt Endpoint Security clients through a malicious application. Apple identifies deficient state management in TCC but has not published the faulty state transition or operation on attacker-controlled input. Execution of a malicious application on an affected Mac is required, and the reported consequence is loss of service for Endpoint Security clients rather than a system-wide crash.
