Memory corruption in Apple ColorSync before macOS 12.1, iOS and iPadOS 15.2, and watchOS 8.3 allows attackers to execute code via images. ColorSync insufficiently validates ICC profile data embedded in an image before processing it, allowing malformed data to corrupt memory. Exploitation requires a crafted image to be processed, and resulting code runs in the context of the process that handles the image.
