CVE-2021-30925

Privacy-preference bypass via faulty permissions logic

Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Apple Sandbox on macOS before 11.6 and watchOS before 8 allows malicious applications to bypass Privacy preferences. Apple states only that the Sandbox applies faulty permissions logic and has not disclosed the affected function or request path. Execution of a malicious local application is required, and the resulting access is limited to permissions normally controlled by Privacy preferences.
