Physical restricted-content disclosure via state mismanagement
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 14.8.1 and in version 15.0 allows physically proximate attackers to view restricted content. Apple identifies the Status Bar as the affected component but has not published the faulty state transition or interaction sequence. Physical access to a locked device is required, and the documented consequence is limited to viewing otherwise restricted content.
