Traffic tampering via disabled baseband integrity protection
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Baseband logic in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 15 allows remote attackers to tamper with cellular traffic when integrity protection fails. Incorrect baseband state management can leave integrity and ciphering protection disabled, but Apple has not disclosed the triggering state. Exposure is limited to the listed older iPhone and iPad models, and the documented consequence is loss of cellular-traffic protection rather than device code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
