Arbitrary code execution via image-processing use-after-free
Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Image Processing in Apple iOS and tvOS before 14.7 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted web content. The component accesses an object after its memory has been released while parsing attacker-controlled content; Apple has not identified the affected function. Exploitation requires a target to process the crafted content, and resulting code runs in the affected processing context.
