Code execution via WebKit state type confusion
Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Type confusion in WebKit in Apple iOS before 14.7 and macOS Big Sur before 11.5 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted web content. WebKit mishandles state while processing the content, but Apple has not disclosed the affected function, object type, or incorrect state transition. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled web content, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the affected WebKit context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
