Local privilege escalation in NSOpenPanel in Apple macOS before 11.4 allows local users to gain elevated privileges through an application. Apple has not published the vulnerable NSOpenPanel code path or the operation that mishandles application input; the fix removed the affected code. An attacker must first execute an application locally, after which successful exploitation crosses a privilege boundary on the Mac.
