CVE-2021-30654Public exploit

Sensitive iCloud data exposure via library proxying

Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Entitlement abuse in Apple GarageBand before 10.4.3 allows local users to read TCC-protected iCloud data through stolen account tokens. GarageBand permits attacker-controlled library code to run with its private iCloud-account entitlement, letting the code request tokens from iCloudHelper. A local user must modify and launch a copied app bundle; the exposed tokens grant access to synchronized contacts, calendars, reminders, and location.
