Published Sep 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use after free in Web Share in Microsoft Edge allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory through a crafted HTML page. The Web Share implementation accesses an object after its lifetime has ended, but Chromium has not published the affected function or object. Successful exploitation requires a victim to open the page and yields heap corruption within the browser process.
