Heap corruption via ANGLE use-after-free
Published Aug 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 92.0.4515.159 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory through crafted HTML. Google identifies ANGLE as the faulty component but does not disclose the freed object, code path, or lifetime error that produces the stale access. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML, after which the stale access corrupts the browser process heap.
