Man-in-the-middle command execution via dynamic updates
Published Nov 10, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
OS command injection in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute arbitrary commands during dynamic updates. Palo Alto Networks has not published the input field, command construction path, or validation failure that permits the injected command. Exposure requires a firewall or Panorama to retrieve dynamic updates from an update server; devices receiving only Panorama-pushed content are not susceptible.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
