Heap corruption via V8 use-after-free
Published Aug 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in V8 in Google Chrome before 91.0.4472.164 allows remote attackers to corrupt browser heap memory via crafted HTML. V8 accesses previously freed heap memory while processing attacker-controlled page content, but Google has not disclosed the affected object or code path. A user must load the crafted page; successful exploitation can crash Chrome or alter execution within the browser process.
