Unauthenticated connectivity outage via crafted CTRL-port packets
Published Apr 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in OMICRON StationGuard before 1.10 allows remote attackers to interrupt connectivity via crafted TCP packets on port 20499. The CTRL Ethernet service fails to handle the packets safely, but public records do not identify the triggering field or resource-consumption code path. No authentication or user interaction is required; sustained access to the CTRL interface can interrupt StationGuard communications.
