Memory corruption via invalid DSM packet size

Stack-based buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon data modems allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through a malformed DSM packet. The closed-source data-modem handler fails to verify that the received packet size fits its stack buffer before processing it. The network-reachable flaw requires no authentication or user interaction, but Qualcomm has not disclosed whether corruption causes a crash or code execution.
