Local information disclosure via malformed DIAG commands
Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon Data Modem chipsets allows local users to disclose memory through crafted DIAG commands. The DIAG interface inadequately validates externally supplied command data, allowing the input to overflow a destination buffer. Low-privileged local access is required, and the published assessment limits the consequence to confidentiality loss without integrity or availability impact.
