Out-of-bounds DCI resource access via unchecked index
Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper array-index validation in Qualcomm Snapdragon core services allows local users with high privileges to access DCI resources out of bounds. The core-services resource-allocation path fails to validate an array index before using it to select DCI resources, permitting an out-of-range access. Exploitation requires local high privileges and no user interaction; public records do not disclose whether the resulting access reads, writes, or interrupts service.
