CVE-2021-30309

Memory corruption via oversized QXDM commands

Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem utilities allows local users to corrupt memory through crafted QXDM commands. The QXDM command handler copies command data without validating that its size fits the destination buffer. Access requires a low-privilege local context, and Qualcomm has not disclosed whether the resulting corruption enables code execution or only a crash.
