Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon DIAG Services allows local users with high privileges to access memory outside allocated bounds. The DIAG path fails to validate an item's size and memory-pool data while switching between USB and PCIe, permitting out-of-bounds access. High local privileges and no user interaction are required; Qualcomm has not disclosed whether the access reads, writes, or both.
