CVE-2021-30294

Local device crash via malformed GPU auxiliary command

Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Null pointer dereference in Qualcomm Snapdragon KGSL GPU auxiliary commands allows local users to crash affected devices with crafted input. The KGSL GPU auxiliary-command path inadequately validates user-controlled command data before dereferencing a pointer; Qualcomm has not disclosed the exact function or malformed field. Local access to the KGSL interface is required, and triggering the fault can crash the affected device and interrupt service.
