Unauthorized secure-resource access via XPU reconfiguration
Published Jan 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in Qualcomm Snapdragon Compute and related platforms allows attackers to access secure resources via dynamic XPU reconfiguration. The XPU reconfiguration path fails to enforce authorization when protection settings change, permitting an unprivileged local attacker to reach resources outside the intended security boundary. Exploitation requires code execution on the device and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected resources.
