CVE-2021-30259

Local memory access via unvalidated function-table entries

Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds access in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio components allows local users to access memory via malformed function-table entries. The closed-source audio component uses a function-table entry without validating that its index stays within the table bounds. Low-privilege local access is required, and Qualcomm does not disclose the entry source, affected memory, or resulting operation.
