CVE-2021-30151Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unconstrained queue name

Published Apr 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Sidekiq Web before 5.2.0 and 6.0.0 through 6.2.0 allows remote attackers to inject script via a queue name. The /queues/:name route accepts browser-significant characters in route_params[:name], and live-poll rendering places that value in an HTML response. Execution requires an Internet Explorer user with Sidekiq Web access to open the crafted queue URL; the script runs in the UI origin and can read or alter session-accessible data.
